Solution po hehe Thankyouu

Hello!

A container of gas is initially at 0.500 atm and 25 ˚C. What will the pressure be at 125 ˚C ?

We have the following information:

P1 (initial pressure) = 0.500 atm

T1 (initial temperature) = 25ºC (in Kelvin)

TK = TºC + 273.15 → TK = 25 + 273.15 → T1 (initial temperature) = 298.15 K

P2 (final pressure) = ? (in atm)

T2 (final temperature) = 125 ºC (in Kelvin)

TK = TºC + 273.15 → TK = 125 + 273.15 → T2 (final temperature) = 398.15 K

According to the Law of Charles and Gay-Lussac in the study of gases, we have an isochoric (or isovolumetric) transformation when its volume remains constant or equal, then we will have the following formula:

\dfrac{P_1}{T_1} = \dfrac{P_2}{T_2}

\dfrac{0.500}{298.15} = \dfrac{P_2}{398.15}

298.15*P_2 = 0.500*398.15

298.15\:P_2 = 199.075

P_2 = \dfrac{199.075}{298.15}

P_2 = 0.667700821... \to \boxed{\boxed{P_2 \approx 0.668\:atm}}\end{array}}\qquad\checkmark

Answer:

The pressure is approximately 0.668 atm
